We founded Casa Connecta after experiencing first-hand how fragmented the property process in Spain really is — even when everything seems in place.
From mortgage to renovation, we make sure the process actually works — in your interest. Because this process doesn’t have to be this complex.
OUR STORY
Even when you have everything in order — it can still go wrong.
In 2025, Lotte and I bought a property in the Costa Brava. We had Spanish financing, a full renovation planned, and years of local knowledge. We speak the language. We know the region. We had everything prepared.
And still — it got stuck.
The bank was waiting on the lawyer. The lawyer was waiting on the agent. Nobody was talking to each other. We were stuck in the middle — submitting the same documents over and over, answering the same questions on repeat, with no clear overview of where things stood.
The renovation was no different. Even with local contacts on the ground: coordinating contractors, timelines and quality from a distance requires one thing above all — someone who sees the full picture.
That was the moment Casa Connecta was born.

WHO WE ARE
Lotte Schouwenaars & Sander Leenders
Dutch founders, based in the Costa Brava. We built a local network here and learned how things actually work — not in theory, but in practice. And then we went through the buying and renovation process ourselves. That’s when we decided to build something that should have existed already.

Casa Connecta works exclusively for the buyer. We have no financial relationship with the banks, agents, advisors or contractors we work with. Our only job is to make sure the process works in your interest — from start to finish.

We start with a conversation.
Not a sales pitch. Not a standard questionnaire. A real conversation about your situation, your plans and what you’re worried about.
From there, we structure the process, bring in the right local professionals and coordinate everything from start to finish. We work with a carefully selected network of independent mortgage advisors, lawyers, architects and contractors across the Costa Brava. They remain fully independent in their own roles — we coordinate between them, always on your behalf. Our role is not to replace the professionals involved, but to make sure they actually work together.
